Learning Question: What skills do you need to Perform a Revolting Rhyme?
Outcomes:
1. To perform Jack and the Beanstalk
2. Understand Expression and Characterisation
3. Demonstrate Rhyming Verse using Expression
Activity:
In groups (using zoom breakout rooms) rehearse Jack and the Beanstalk - Select sections you want to use, do not do all of the Revolting Rhyme
- Apply voice skills practice from last session- tone, volume, pitch, intonation, pace or accent
- Decide how you will divide the lines between members of your group
- Can you use voices in Unison- sections spoken at the same time with two or more group members OR Canon- one after the other
- Find a rhythm beat to the dialogue
- Share with class.
Reflect: Discuss What Went Well and Even Better If.
WWW- me and my group the one the jack and the bean stock revolting rhyme and we did a section of the revolting rhyme and we had good unision, good tone and good expression when the mother was angry at Jack.
EBI- if our everyone in our group was here and maybe we could have a better tone and better unision and maybe added some accent and could probably read more about the poem
